My Background
With over 12 years of experience in the fields of psychology and counseling, I realized that people often forget the power they hold with regard to their mental health. Many steps toward feeling better can be taken before, during, and after approaching systematic support. Self Care Rocks (also known as Simple Mental Health Inc.) is a 501(c)3 charitable organization developed to empower people to take charge of their mental health and self care (in the simplest way) without regard to financial status. I am a licensed Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug Counselor, with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology.

WHAT IS SELF-CARE & WHY IT IS IMPORTANT?
Self-care is the intentional practice of nurturing and prioritizing one's physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It involves taking deliberate actions to promote self-restoration, relaxation, and personal growth. Self-care is not a luxury or an indulgence; rather, it is a fundamental aspect of maintaining a healthy and balanced life.
